Next year Olga Rode Import von Waldfrüchten & Pilzen e.K. will shift some of its business activities to Lithuania including sorting, weighing and packaging of fresh chanterelles. Therefore, the company will move into new premises in Kaunas. Construction work is scheduled for completion in October 2015.
The modern factory hall of 950 sq. including 2 cold storage rooms as well as 2 sorting rooms offers enhanced cooling capacity and space for about 50 workers. . “This also means that the distances for our trucks will be much shorter – and that, of course, has a positive effect on the quality of fresh chanterelles,“ says Alexander Rode.
